**Earl Weaver was a former baseball manager, of 17 years, with the Baltimore Orioles. Weaver was introduced into the Hall of Fame in 1996. He said:
"In baseball, you can't kill the clock. You've got to give the other man his chance. That's why this is the greatest game."

**Robert William Andrew "Bob" Feller, was a pitcher for the Cleveland Indians from 1936-1956. Bob Feller was also known as "bullet bob." He said:
"every day is a new opportunity. you can build on yesterdays success or put its failures behind and start over again. that's they way life is, with a new game everyday, and that's the way baseball is."
**Roger Hornsby, aka the "Rajah" was a infielder, manager and coach, playing 23 Major league season. He said:
"People ask me what I do in the winter when there is no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
